What I Liked:

John Ambrose McClarren.
He cared so much for Lara Jean. I felt so bad for him because he didn’t end up with Lara Jean. He cared so much was in a way lead-on by Lara Jean because he took it as her flirting and liking him when really she was with Peter. Lara Jean and John even kissed! It gave me so many feels I couldn’t handle that USO party because that was so cute. John Ambrose McClarren was probably my favorite character from this book.

Chris.
She’s brutally honest with Lara Jean the whole time, that’s what she needed. She was very realistic to me because she reminds me of myself, honest and blunt and doesn’t care (most of the time) what other people think.

What I Didn’t Like:

Kitty.
I know that we find out she was really on Lara Jean’s side but the way she acted as she constantly defended Peter against Lara Jean saying things like, “‘You don’t deserve him,'” when she first learned about their breakup. And when Lara Jean became closer to John Ambrose McClarren Kitty said, “‘Well, Peter’s [my friend],'” as if he mattered more than Lara Jean’s (her sister’s) feelings.

Genevive.
She was so petty and jealous for no reason. She also held a grudge that she could have simply solved by talking to Lara Jean about what happened when they were little girls. But she had to bottle her hatred out and “ruin” Lara Jean’s life. She should have thought that Lara Jean would be angry at her because of often she was calling Peter over. She was so jealous of every thing for no reason.

Overall Thoughts:

Although I had a feeling that after Peter and Lara Jean broke up, they’d get back together, I kind of hoped Lara Jean and John and Ambrose McClarren would get together. But then, I was really happy for the very last few pages where Peter and Lara Jean kind of unfold to each other.

Character development was also very on point here. Lara Jean grew up so much, I feel in this movie. She even says so herself after Genevive says “‘Grow up, Lara Jean.'” Lara Jean thinks to herself saying “I feel like I have.” and its true. Also with Peter, he isn’t as obsessed with himself as he used to be because of how  much he’s cared for someone that wasn’t himself. Character development was also in Margot in how she got over Josh and moved onto someone new, slowly but surely.

Ratings:

5/5 stars. 10/10 stars. This book made my feels go through the roof, it deserves a good rating like this.
