Stranger Things Book Tag

Another book tag coming at you guys! This time I wasn’t actually tagged but Rachael @ Beach Bookworm posted the Stranger Things book tag and said that anyone could do it so here I am. Go check out her post here. Sadly I haven’t watched the second season but there aren’t any spoilers in this tag so let’s get into it.

Epic Intro – The opening sequence of Stranger Things is amazing and really grabs your attention. Name a book that grabbed your attention from the first page.

I honestly rarely every remember the beginning of books unless it has a really good quote as the first line. One I can remember being interested in straight from the beginning was The Book Thief. I’m pretty sure its the narrator describing himself and I was so confused but also intrigued.

Dungeons and Dragons – Name a fantasy world you would like to experience yourself.

Old picture but… Follow me on Instagram! @adoringfiction

Definitely have to go with The Raven Cycle for this one. Although very dangerous it sounds absolutely beautiful and I would love to see every aspect with my own eyes. Like the lake in Cabeswater? That’d be amazing.

Squad Goals – When Eleven met Mike, Dustin and Lucas it was a ‘mostly’ perfect team. Name your favorite bookish group of friends.

The peculiar group from Miss Peregrine’s Home is the best group of friends. How could they not be? They are literally friends because of their differences. It’s the strangest kind of diversity there can be.

ABC’s and Christmas Lights – When Joyce Byers goes mad with grief after Will goes missing. Name your favorite mentally unhinged character.

I don’t know if “mentally unhinged” is the most appropriate way to describe this character but I really liked Craig Gilner from It’s Kind of a Funny Story despite the fact that I forgot his name. He was a really honest main character and I highly enjoyed that.

The Upside Down – Name a book that was the opposite of what you expected.

Definitely Lord of the Flies because in 7th grade I thought I was going to enjoy reading it. 3 years later I absolutely hated it. That may party be because of school but it let me down so I was really upset.

Mad Scientists – Dr. Brenner likes to get freaky with humanity. Name the freakiest dystopian government you can think of.

I’m gonna agree with Rachael on this one and go with The Hunger Games government. I mean, who throws up just so that they can eat more food? Not only is it freaky but it’s just plain weird.

Demogorgon – Name a scary bookish character that you would not want to come through your walls.

Okay, I can’t even remember if these things had a name but the creature things in the maze in The Maze Runner sound scary af. I would be bawling my eyes out if I even had to look at that thing.

Cliffhanger Ending – Name a book that left you wanting more.

Oh my god THE GIVER. THAT WAS THE BIGGEST CLIFFHANGER FOR A BOOK THAT DOESN’T TECHNICALLY HAVE A SEQUEL. I remember reading it in 7th grade and everyone in my class was like well what happened??!??!?!!!

That’s it for this tag! Since I’m not sure who likes Stranger Things, tag yourself if you’re a fan and want to do it! That’s all for today, I hope you enjoyed.
