Hello everybody! I am here again with a new series / meme created by Nikki @ The night is dark and full of books. For Searching Saturday, each Saturday has a new topic and you talk about books that fit into that topic to talk to your readers about or add to your TBR list, or both! For info on how to join, click here. The original goal is so actually search for these books but since I am a bit busy and usually end up writing these on the day of, I feel like I don’t have enough time to do so. Now, without further hesitation, let’s get into this Searching Saturday.
This week’s topic is Books Coming Out in 2017.
Very plainly put, this are books that are going to be released in this year and let me tell you, I’m excited for this one.
Always and Forever, Lara Jean by Jenny Han
Ahhh, my most excited release of the year! Depending on how many of my posts you’ve seen and if you follow my bookstagram (adoringfiction) you may know how much I love the To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before series by Jenny Han. And this third and last addition is so thrilling! I’m super ready for this (hopefully) purple book eeeeep.
“Lara Jean is having the best senior year a girl could ever hope for. She is head over heels in love with her boyfriend, Peter; her dad’s finally getting remarried to their next door neighbor, Ms. Rothschild; and Margot’s coming home for the summer just in time for the wedding.
But change is looming on the horizon. And while Lara Jean is having fun and keeping busy helping plan her father’s wedding, she can’t ignore the big life decisions she has to make. Most pressingly, where she wants to go to college and what that means for her relationship with Peter. She watched her sister Margot go through these growing pains. Now Lara Jean’s the one who’ll be graduating high school and leaving for college and leaving her family—and possibly the boy she loves—behind.

Myths of Immortality by Raye Wagner
This just came out on the… 12th (yesterday from the day I’m writing this). I am excited for this third book in the Sphinx series! I love supporting Raye because she’s such a great person and author and I can’t wait to buy this so I can but it and Demigods & Monsters on my series shelf (and then get TCotS).
“In the realm of the dead, there are no lies.
Hope Nicholas is desperate to believe that the truth will set her free from the bindings of Apollo’s curse. But to get the truth, she must travel to the Underworld, a feat near impossible for the living. The gods there have their own agendas and, forced to forge alliances with the most unlikely allies, Hope will find that death is not the worst torment of the Underworld.
Athan Michael spent months chasing Hope, only to have her disappear once again. And when he discovers her destination, he knows the treacherous journey to the Underworld is one he cannot take alone. Forced to put aside his past with Xan and Dahlia, the three demigods embark on their own quest. But the past will not stay buried, and Athan must decide how much he’s willing to sacrifice to help Hope break the curse.
Told in dual points of view, Myths of Immortality is a tense, action-packed story that will leave you begging for the next installment of The Sphinx series.” – Goodreads
A Bridge Across the Ocean by Susan Messiner
I won this one (as some of you may know) in a giveaway through Shelf Awareness. It comes out on March 7 of this year. I really like talking about the premise of it being about finding out old secrets.
“February, 1946. World War Two is over, but the recovery from the most intimate of its horrors has only just begun for Annaliese Lange, a German ballerina desperate to escape her past, and Simone Deveraux, the wronged daughter of a French Resistancespy.
Now the two women are joining hundreds of other European war brides aboard the renowned RMS Queen Mary to cross the Atlantic and be reunited with their American husbands. Their new lives in the United States brightly beckon until their tightly-held secrets are laid bare in their shared stateroom. When the voyage ends at New York Harbor, only one of them will disembark…
Present day. Facing a crossroads in her own life, Brette Caslake visits the famously haunted Queen Mary at the request of an old friend. What she finds will set her on a course to solve a seventy-year-old tragedy that will draw her into the heartaches and triumphs of the courageous war brides and will ultimately lead her to reconsider what she has to sacrifice to achieve her own deepest longings.” – Goodreads
The Good Daughter by Alexandra Burt
Another book won in a giveaway last year that I found out about through Shelf Awareness. This one comes out on February 7.
“What if you were the worst crime your mother ever committed?
Dahlia Waller’s childhood memories consist of stuffy cars, seedy motels, and a rootless existence traveling the country with her eccentric mother. Now grown, she desperately wants to distance herself from that life. Yet one thing is stopping her from moving forward: she has questions.
In order to understand her past, Dahlia must go back. Back to her mother in the stifling town of Aurora, Texas. Back into the past of a woman on the brink of madness. But after she discovers three grave-like mounds on a neighboring farm, she ll learn that in her mother’s world of secrets, not all questions are meant to be answered…” – Goodreads
Gone Without A Trace by Mary Torjussen
My third win from a giveaway hosted by Shelf Awareness. This one comes out on April 11 (they’re all back-to-back!). I’m excited for this one because of the Gone Girl vibe that I’m getting from it.
““If the love of your life disappeared without a trace, how far would you go to find out why? “
Hannah Monroe’s boyfriend, Matt, is gone. His belongings have disappeared from their house. Every call she ever made to him, every text she ever sent, every photo of him and any sign of him on social media have vanished. It’s as though their last four years together never happened.
As Hannah struggles to get through the next few days, with humiliation and recriminations whirring through her head, she knows that she’ll do whatever it takes to find him again and get answers. But as soon as her search starts, she realizes she is being led into a maze of madness and obsession. Step by suspenseful step, Hannah discovers her only way out is to come face to face with the shocking truth…” – Goodreads
That’s all for today! Hopefully next Searching Saturday I will actually be able to search for books, hehe. Are you interested in reading any of these books? If so, which ones? – Kambria
